This week, Hx and Lele decided to go to the Botanic Garden...
As with last week, we met at 0900 to have our breakfast at KFC. This time, both of us ordered porridge.
Both of us failed to check the way to Botanic Garden as we thought that "Hx/Le will do so" =.= Luckily I remembered that we could take a bus from Orchard...
Took bus 190 from Chua Chu Kang bus interchange to Far East and transfer to bus 105 (we asked the bus driver for the bus number. We waited so l--o--n--g for 105 that by the time we reached the Botanic Garden, it was already 1125
We started by walking around the swan lake...
Next, we went to the ginger garden... Walking around, Hx was saying that the leave of ginger family looks like that of banana tree... After we read the board, we found out that they are of the same order- ginger order together with the bird of paradise. We are both happy that we got to learn something new ^^
After the ginger garden, we walked down the palm valley and around the symphony lake.
We then walked down the clunky park way to the evolution garden. It is an interesting place with educating boards around, telling the story of how life came about on the Earth.
Continuing down the clunky park way, we went to the eco park next. We had our lunch at the bougainvillea area.
And we never knew that the ginger plant have such a beautiful flower. All we know is eat =.=
After the eco park, we start to walk back taking another route... We entered the rain forest followed by the orchid garden. We managed to get a student price for the orchid garden, paying 1 dollar instead of 5 for adult =)
There's really many different species of orchid... Here are some of the uncommon ones...
Our favorite place is the cool house, it was so cooling (duh, what do u expect? haha) there
Existing the orchid garden, we went to Lele's all time favorite, bandstand. Can you guess why it is one of Lele's favorite places in botanic garden?
We got lost but we still managed to find our last stop: the sundial garden^^
Lele feel that this is the first time Lele managed to covered so many places in the Botanic Ggarden and felt very satisfied. Oh, Lele forget to apply sunblock again... and even wore the same shoe...
