Yy have been wanting to bake chocolate cake so we decided to try using cake mix. It turned out rather well even thought we manually mix the ingredient instead of using machine as stated in the instruction (30 seconds low speed and 2 minutes high speed. How are we going to do that manually?!?)

The only so called problem is... ... the size of the cake after it rise. OMG, it was a huge cake 0_O

This time, we decided to bake banana nut cake, all because of their obsession in a facebook game: baking live. But hey, it turns out that cakes are easier to bake than cookies!! At least from the way we do it... We simply add the ingredients and mix them together =.=

This is the very first time that I tried banana cake while it was still warm and it was really very nice. A crispy crust with warm, soft interior...

After the baking, JZ and myself stayed to watch movie in WL's house. WL was telling me that her house actually have a very good view of the sunsets due to the absence of other tall building blocking the view. Somehow, every time I went there, there's no sunset as the sky will be more or less gloomy... This time round, there is Still no sun, but at least, the sky was tinted with orange glow

I also found out that the night view from her house is also very beautiful^^

Yy and Zx treated Lele to dinner again... This time we went to Al Dente Trattoria for Italian food...

The atmosphere there was very romantic and very suitable for couples =x The lightings weren't very good for photographs taking though... And the staff there was abit slow in their service...

Al Fungi Woodfire Pizza. Thin crust pizza. Lele likes the taste of the cheese and sauce ^^

Foie Gras Risotto. The risotto is really good. It is very fragrance and absorbed the taste of the spices used. The dish was abit too oily though. The foie gras (goose liver) was very fatty, it really 'melts' in the mouth. Lele feels that it is not something that one can take in too much as Lele don't really like the taste of the fat. Not to mention the feeling of guiltiness =x

Dark Chocolate cake with Ice cream. Can't really taste the dark chocolate, but the cake had many layers giving it different levels of texture =)

Actually we went to the restaurant after the Doraemon 40th Anniversary Performance. Hence, Lele was indeed very happy. Haha, Lele do feel bad for not paying own share, especially when it was such an expensive meal. So really really thanks Yy and Zx for the treat. Good Food makes Lele HaPpy~~

Initially, Lele and ZS had decided to treat JH to ThaiExpress... Lele thought that it might be unfair to ZS so Lele decided to treat both of them instead. BUT, when Lele was going to pay the bill, JH got hold of Lele while ZS went to made payment... It was till then Lele found out that ZS had betrayed Lele and bucked up with JH to treat Lele... Lele feels so bad to have them treat Lele as Lele is getting more money for attachment than them... The next day, ZS complained to JH that Lele messaged him to scold him because of the betrayal... Lele really really want to thank them for the treat!!

Spicy Fried Noodle. That ZS was busy messaging his friend in the background... Supposed to be very spicy and ZS drank two glasses of water...

Tom Yum Hor Fun. Shared with JH. Really got the tom yum taste =D Lele likes the slight spicy and sour taste of the hor fun, very appetising!!

Green Chicken Curry. This was shared among the three of us. There's eggplant, potato and chicken inside. The curry is nice ^^

The next day, some of the Shimadzu staffs (JH's supervisor, ZS's supervisor and one of the chemists in HPLC) treated us to Sakura buffet... They almost decided to treat us to ThaiExpress but we couldn't find the way to the outlet. Hence, we went to Sakura at Clementi Woods instead... In fact, with one of the chemists giving the directions, we actually enter and exist a car park on the way without the others noticing=.=... In the end, Lele decided to interfere and take over the job of giving direction since Lele knows the way (as it is just opposite NUS)...

First Round: Sushi. 60% full.

To tell the truth, Lele feels that the meal is not worth the price, but Lele really appreciates the thoughts of the Shimadzu staffs who treated us to such an expensive meal. Lele feels so 'paiseh' to have them treat Lele...

Graduation Dinner 02

The dinner...

Getting to the place is a problem... We got lost at Suntec, trying to get to NUS Guild House... After looking for more than 10 minutes for the lift to take us up to level 5, we finally decided to ask one of the cleaners. In the end, the lift didn't stop at the second level, so we have to go up one level in order to find it =.= At least we decided to meet early...

Lele took a lot of photographs and help people to take a lot of photographs during the dinner... But hor, Lele found out that guys only take photographs with one of the prettier girl in Lele's group. A few of us were together and the guys will just came and say: Eh, I haven't take photographs with xxxx... And they started taking photographs with her and completely ignored the rest of us, minus Lele =D But only because they asked Lele to help them take photographs =.= Stupid guys!!

Wei Bin is the only guy that asked Lele to take photographs with him since we are always in the same group for project and laboratory session in year one and two... At least he got heart...This is the first time Lele praise him =x Hmm, Lele don't know why Antony joined in though, but at least Lele can say Lele took photographs with half of the guys in FST le. Wahaha!!

The food was okay, but despite Lele telling two of the organizers that Lele is allergy to seafood, they still ordered seafood for half of the menu =.= I knew it, they hate me!! T.T

Just Want to Say: Thank You 01

Fenella treated Lele to dinner today =D... The date was set up one month back actually, Fenella was so busy that we had to held it tonight instead. Lele was honoured that Fenella make time for Lele despite her tight schedule.

We decided to go to Astons which is one of the restaurants recommended by Yy. According to Yy the western food there is more worth for the price. When we reach there, there was such a long queue that we waited for more than 30 minutes (and the queue is getting longer...) =.=

Looking at the menu, we both decided to order either Grilled Fish with Herbs or Lemon Lime Chicken. Hence in the end we ordered both to share.

Grilled Fish and Herbs with side dishes Pasta Salad and Onion Ring. The onion ring was abit burnt, otherwise the overall dish was rather good.

Lemon Lime Chicken with side dishes Mashed Potato and Coleslaw. We wanted baked potato but they ran out of stock... Lele can't taste the lemon and lime but the chicken was tender =)

Considering the price and time spent with friend, Astons was a rather good recommendation by Yy. Thanks to both Yy and Fenella!!

Yy and Zx treated Lele to Cafe Cartel for Yy's birthday celebration after they came back from their holiday in Redang. Actually Lele just want to take the opportunity to have some good food =D

Liked the garlic bread though it's something rather normal... Somehow Lele just likes how the taste goes well with the soup of the day...

Lele was abit disappointed with the quality of the food and service... Nevertheless, Lele still enjoyed the time spent and is grateful that they treated Lele though we are supposed to celebrate for Yy's birthday. Thank You!!

Birthday Celebration during the Examination Period o.O

Asked Sally out for dinner last night. She agreed to meet even though she's having examinations right now. According to Sally, she needs a break from all the studying... Fufufu, what Sally don't know is that Lele actually intended to treat her since it's just one day after her birthday.

Went to tried something that both of us haven't try before, Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant for Shanghai diam sum. The food are good though the soup was abit too salty, probably due to it being dried scallop with egg soup. Lele likes the presentation of the gyoza, very interesting... Hee, after dinner, the birthday girl treated Lele to dessert at The Royals Cafe where we ordered cakes... The chocolate mint cake is very refreshing and Lele likes it. The other cakes that we tried, oreo cheese and dark chocolate are 'okay' in Lele's opinion.

Sally also gave Lele some candy. She say the smiley face on the candy remind her of Lele who is bubbly and smiley. Hee... * Big smiles* Lele like the passion fruit flavour of the candy!!

Hehe, more good meals!! Believe me, I'm really saving money!!

Ichiban. Meet up with WP to shop around Jurong Point. She say she want to have Japanese cuisine... Lele thinks Ichiban is one of the better Japanese restaurants in Singapore... Lele likes to order Unagi when having Japanese cuisine ^^ The Unagi from Ichiban is not fishy and tasted great. Even WP who don't really like to order Unagi say it is good as compared to that from other Japanese Restaurants. WP who try Ichiban for the first time gave it a rather well rate.

Saizeriya. Dinner with Cl (not chlorine!!) and JH at City Square Mall. We ordered too much food and ended up none managed to finish the main course. The pizza was abit too salty for Lele's liking but the price was rather reasonable. Lele's and JH's treat to Cl before she end her attachment at Shimadzu.

Botak Jones. Dinner with JH to celebrate end of Lele's Professional Placement Presentation. The salmon was abit fishy but all in all the meal was an enjoyable one. Hehe, the two of us shared one set meal and rojak.

K. Gourmet Cafe. WP is returning to Malaysia and Lele went to her hostel to help her with her luggage. We had our dinner at the Courtyard Cafe. The fried Rice with Fried Chicken that Lele ordered comes with mushroom soup. The soup was abit blend and the rice just slightly bit too dry. WP said they used to give bigger portion of the fried chicken...

Meet up with Gaga who just got back from Hong Kong. He got me some Doraemon comics!! Like the atmosphere there. The cafe was decorated with some circle rings intercepting each others.

Ordered Masala Chicken. Tasted abit like curry chicken but Lele likes the mashed potato which come together with the meal. The spices used really 'spice up' the dishes.

Olive and Fig

Went to Jurong Point with WP to shop for MH's birthday present. WP wanted to try something new so we decided on Olive and Fig which she have never try before. Both of us ordered set dinner which comes with drink and desert. The meal was expensive x.x

Maghrigi Chicken with Olive Rice ordered by WP. In Lele's opinion, the chicken tasted like cha sew with spicy sauce =D

Went to Jurong Point with mum, Yy and Zx for last minute shopping for new year's cloth.





After the shopping, we had our dinner at Swensen's. Lele ordered sourdough bread chicken, ham and cheese burger to share with Yy and Zx. Lele like the flags!!

Finally went to the ice cream buffet today... I don't really have that much interest to go, as my sister had said: Why spend money to gain weight? But I guess it's an experience that I don't mind having... ... But... ... I have very low tolerant for sweet stuff (even though my size might suggest otherwise =.=)

1. The cakes are very sweet. Very very sweet... So sweet that lele wants to puke even when I think of it now * puke

2. The strawberry ice cream taste like... ... cough syrup *puke


3. At least the waffles are up to my standard


4. The white chocolate is also very sweet * puke


5. The mint ice cream is of a very bright green colour... Colouring?

7. The soursop toppings... ... ... 让我有初恋的感觉。。。

(not that I have any experience la, but don't they say that first love is "酸酸甜甜"? Yes, the topping is sour and sweet... Very sour and very sweet... ... )

8. My opinion of the soursop topping changed after I ate the kiwi... I finally know the true meaning of sour le... ...
