Peking University Summer School International

Received an e-mail from school, asking for photographs of exchange programme that students have participated in. Looking at the photographs that Lele have taken during Summer Programme in Peking University brought back many memories.

Remember the very first day at airport where the whole family sent Lele off. The feeling of nervous mixed with anticipation and the sadness to have to part with them... ...

Remember how we loudly called for the bill:　服务员，买单!!





Remember the time spent with many of the great friends known through the programme... ...





Remember how we hand wash our own clothes and hang them in the room =X... ...





Remember the trips went together with friends, to Inner Mongolia, Bei Dai He and Shanghai.

Lalala~~

Issue 2 is about the trip to 北戴河, the beach resort. We only spent like two days there. But the atmosphere there is really relaxing, with the beach and sea and many flowers. But the stay is so short that we couldn't really do much, ended up it is like there's nothing much to do. So... there's actually no much to write in this issue... Fat Hope XD, I'll still find things to write about for my dearest readers. lalala~~


We walk around the beaches (yes, there's more than one there) on the 1st day. I brought many shells for my mum at a very cheap $$, like less than 10sing for 3 big ones. I was so happy and can't wait to show them to my mum (Now I knew that they are nothing compared to the "big" ones my mum has =.=). We also have some saefood, like fish and claypot with prawn, sotong... The seafood were really fresh, but was a bit cruel cos... the lady who pick the fish for us... .... bang the fish on the floor to make it dizzy and so less struggling...

The second day, we went to a park there to take photos. Haha, we had to walk really long, till I want to puke @@ and with our luggage too >.<. Some friends was saying that I came to China to loss weight, but no lor, just that all the fat --> muscle le, which is like more difficult to burn away, NO------------!! U know, at least fat can keep me warm lor. Lala~~

Actually, I saw alot of corpse at Bei Dai He... Like a lizard with which split at the stomach and intestine showing (omg omg, the scene still hunt on to me till today >.<), big moth, giant bee and many many crickets and 知了. I was telling my friend that ppl go to Bei Dai He to relax and de-stress, I may end up being even more traumalised after the trip. (The lizard one is the pure win *puke)

Lalala,

one of the readers replied to ask me more about the trip to Inner Mongolia, and I found out that there's so much more things that I want to share with u all >.<

I got to spent one night in the yurd=" Mongolian">.<). Then it got really really cold in the early morning like 4am. I need to go out of the tenth for some reason and my teeth was like chattering lor. But the night sky is really really clear, such that I got to see the milkyway and around 7 shooting stars. My friends only managed to see like 3 and they said that I lie T_T but never mind, I'm more trained in this stuff since I'm like from the Astronomical society, neh? Wahaha-----------!! The trick is to focus on one part of the sky and especially at the side. Lala~~ I'm not in the society for no reason, althought I may do my own stuff if the topic of that session does not interest me. Oops...

As for the food, we eat like noddles and many vegetables... Haha, got to eat mutton for one of the dinner and it tasted really good. They served salty milk tea for breakfast, yes salty... ... most of my friends were not use to it lol. Oh, we went to one factory and got free tasting of food, I tasted their cheese, milk products and dried mutton. They are good too. Wahaha-----------!!

The other highlight of the trip is the visit to the desert!!! And I finally know that not all deserts are hot! The one we went to are actually "cooler" than Beijing (in my opinion). In fact, the night is not as cold as at the grass land--> horse ride and tenth. So actually, the weather is not as extreme as I expected. As they were saying that the sunrise there was very beautiful and a group of us actually wanted to catch it. In the end, only me and my room mate (the two stupid ones) wake up to see the sun being blocked by the cloud >.<, the sky is a nice tint of orange and red thought. Lala. In the desert, we played the space ball and sand slide, It was so exciting. I choose to go down the sand slide 1st so that I can take un-grand photos of the other ppl. Wahaha, blackmail them XD.

We also rented traditional costume to take photos.

Haha, I really enjoyed the trip and love my tour guide. The only part I don’t like is that we spent most of the time travelling on the bus. The trip back took around 10hrs >.<

Lala, haha attached in the last issue of <<乐乐在北京>> is the first issue of <<乐乐出北京>>, telling the readers about my trips out of Beijing. Hehex, I'm not going to let u all off so easily. Lalala~~

The very 1st trip I made is to Inner Mongolia. Lele really got to ride on horses wor. Haha, and I like both of the horses I rided on. The first one is a very handsome black horse and the second one a very fast brown one. Wahaha, my horses are always among the very first few in the herd. In fact, there was once when the other horses start to gallop faster but mine stay there... I was like why don't you increasing speed? And then it started to gallop really fast and overtook all the other horses XD.

The residents there werereally friendly, the store owners will chat with u when u enter their shops. The food there were good, but it's like we were always having the same dishes... The toilets were not that ... good thought, but I'm not going to talk about them now. Lala~

Last issue

This is the last issue of <<乐乐在北京>>, since I'm not really staying in Beijing anymore. Come to think of it, I shouldn't have include my plan in the last issue of <> as they are not really occuring in Beijing... Hmm, but guess it's all right since I know u all care about me and would like to hear anything about ME (不要脸乐乐 XD).

Yup, so now I'm actually in Shanghai. I actually went to climb the 香山 on Thursday alone. Wahaha, the bus stopped at the resident area of 香山 and I kind of got lost before I even started exploring the 香山公园 >.<. Anyway, it was a good trip and I really feel great on the bus back... Haha, during the climb, it can be really tiring. I climbed so high that the trip down on the cable car took around 20 min. I feel so proud of myself, wahaha------------------!! (u know, i was quite determined to take the cable car down and I just continue going up and down those small hills till I reach that one with the cable car....)

And I got a new experience on that day: the bus I took back broke down =.=. there was smoke from the engine and black oil started to leak from the bus. So we had to get down and wait for the next bus. Lala~

Lalala~~~ by popular demand, here comes the third issue of <<乐乐在北京>>!!!

Wahahaha, lele wake up very early in Beijing wor, because the day start so early and it is so bright. I wake up at 6+ to 7 everyday. Lalala. So this morning, I was planning to look at the eclipse. As in, I’m from the Astronomical Society and in China now, of course I would want to watch it right? I almost want to go to Shanghai to watch it if not for my final exam later >.<. But… *sob sob, it was so cloudy that I can’t even see the sun!! Anyway, I don’t have a solar viewer so I couldn’t see it even if the sun was out… So now, u all better don’t mention the word eclipse in front of me… No la, I won’t do anything to u. lalala

Yes, I’m having a final exam later, oral presentation, and I’m still typing this email now. Lalala~~ Haha, the more important point is… final exam is on the last day of lesson (are u sure this is more important?)!!! Wahaha, today is lele last lesson le XD. I’ve already finished the ppt and is kind of resting now… Hehex, I have actually planned my trip in China till 4th Aug le wor… Even brought all the necessary train tickets and booked hostel… Wahahaha---!!

My plan

This Friday till Sunday: Inner Mongolia, to look at the desert, grass land, ride horse and camel… but my friend told me we need to bring along sun block, so lele actually went to buy one yesterday… heard there’s a lot of bugs too >.<

Next Tuesday and Wednesday: Beidaihe, a beach resort. Lalala, 海浪，沙滩，阳光，椰树!!! There got park for bird seeing too…

Next Friday till return: Shanghai!!! Lalala, I want to go 苏州：小桥，流水，人家。。。杭州：西湖。。。 。。。 >.<

Yo, this is the second issue of <<乐乐在北京>>… … erm, haha, yes, another free day. Lalala~~

To all loyal audiences who seem to be interested on how Lele “survive” in Beijing... ...

The very first week I came to Beijing, it was really very hot and sunny. I got a very good tan (in my opinion) now >.<. The weather is like hot and dry. BUT, these few days, it has being raining everyday, and no matter how heavy the rain is, the cloud never clears… I want blue sky!!!!


在北京走路真的要看路!! The people here have the habit of splitting on the floor. Also, never walk too close to the side of the pathway facing the road (I mean the 马路)… because… driver will just open the window, clear his/hers throat… … and split >.<>

Just yesterday, my friends and I are heading back to our hostel in the rain...


Friend A : U know, I’m getting very paranoid now.

Me: ? what happen?

Friend A: As in, the people here are like anyhow split on the road, and now the water are flowing everywhere... I want to wash my shoes and legs when I get back to the hostel!

Me: Arhh, why do u bring it up… (wash my shoes and legs? I think I’ll just cut my foot off >.<) Lala~ don’t worry, my legs are still in one piece Regards Le

Hehex, readers, 你们有眼福咯... ... I actually brought my sketchbook to China... ... What a stupid girl, as if there will time for me to draw =.= It kind of just added to the weight of my luggage T_T

Hmm, at least it's not a total waste... ...

I have a (bad) habit of having the desire to draw when I was busy. So, I actually took out my sketchbook when preparing for my essay and presentation and ... ... Started drawing random stuffs... It is my way of de-stressing. But I feel that I'm just wasting the precious time which should be spent on my work instead =.=

Hello~~
I cannot update my blog as China blocked Blogger *cries

So I decided to send an email instead. China is really very big- the place is big, the serving here is big and my school is also big. A pity that my hostel room is actually quite small.

This is the second week of school, as they change the schedule of the lessons, my last lesson falls upon the 22th of July instead of the 31st. This means that there is more time for me to travel around * wahaha---------!!

I really walk a lot here, its around 25 min walk from my hostel to the school, and the heel of my shoes are already wore off le. Lesson learnt: never believe the Chinese when they say the place is near >.<

The daylight here is also longer. On the 1st day, my room mate and I wake up and saw that the sky was so bright... We were like, oh no, we overslept >.< But it’s only 5am in the morning!! The sunrise is at around 4:45am and sunset at 7:45 to 8:00pm >.<>.<>
